Mt. Vernon advances to Regional Tournament

Mt. Vernon defeated Farmersville 49-46 in the quarterfinal round to advance to the Regional Tourney at A&M Commerce on Friday night. Mt. Vernon will face Argyle in the second game and Liberty Eylau (also from 16AAA) will play Celina in the first game. It could be another 16AAA final in Region as this is the third year in a row for MT. Vernon and Liberty Eylau to make two of the four teams left in Region 2. Both made the finals in 07.
